Swirlydoos Scrapbook Kit Club: Designer spotlight post

Hi =) It´s my turn to show you what i have made with the March kit " Garden Romance" and tell you about my process with the kit. First of all it´s a long waiting for the kit to arrive beacause it has to travel over the seas... When I finally get my kit in my hand I start with looking through the add ons. I always have the flower kit, embellishment kit and mediums kit. Then I look at the main kits embellisments and last at the papers. When I go through the papers I plan which papers I will use for which of my 4-5 projects. The photos are already printed ;).

Then I have to wait again for the weekend to come. I only scrap at weekends. I really can´t find the time during the week. When I sit down I often start with the sketch but not always. The papers for each layout is allready sorted out so I start cutting or tearing the papers so I get the papers in right place, but not gluing them, that is done quite fast. Then I come to the embellishments and if I use mixed media it´s here where I start to plan what to do and where on the page. I never glue anything before I have seen the whole design of the page. the emellishing part takes some time. I move them around the page several times before I decide where to put them. When that is done I start to glue everything on the page. If I have lots of layers with papers and embellishment I take a photo with my cellularphone so I can see how I had put everything on the page.

Well enough talking. Time to show my layouts. This month I started with the sketch, but I have mirrored it.

For this layout I have used the Main Kit, Flower Kit and Embellishment Kit.

My next one is made by only using one patterned paper and a small stripe from another. I quite often scrap like this, with few papers but lots of embellishment.

Now to my number three. For this layout I´ve used the chipboards that comes with this kit.

My next page is a CAS page. I don´t do these kinds of pages that often but when I make a page of my teenage son the pages often goes more clean and simple.

My last page is for this months RR challange in our forum. As I don´t use that much patterned papers when I scrap I still had some left which I used fort his page. But I´m out of flowers from the kit so I have used some from my own stash.
