Happy Saturday!

Lynne and Tiffany are busy working on their next set of videos for you, so I thought I would take this opportunity to share with you all some fun things that are taking place on the Swirlydoos YouTube channel.  As you all know, our Education Team Designers Lynne and Tiffany (the wonder twins), have been wowing us with their weekly videos of tutorials and techniques.  We've even had a few of our other designers get into the action as well. :)

We get a lot of emails from people who are just breaking into this wonderful craft of ours and at Swirlydoos we wholeheartedly believe in paying it forward. With the newly anointed scrapper in our thoughts, we created Playlists within our YouTube channel.  Take a look...

They are really easy to find.  Use this link, Swirlydooskits, to get to our channel.  It will open up showing the featured videos.  Just underneath our logo are three menus; Featured, Feed, Videos.  Click on Videos.  Then along the left side, next to the videos are two more menus going down; Uploaded Videos and Playlists.  Click on Playlists.  That is when you will see what is in the screen shot above.  Click on any of the Playlists and all of the videos in that category will be front and center.

We are going to being working on Imagination Lab 101 videos.  As a matter of fact, I think Lynne is going to have one for us shortly. :)  This playlist is for our new family members and will have in it everything you need to get started creating gorgeous scrappy pieces of art.

We have some other very exciting plans for our YouTube channel, so stay tuned!  Also, remember that our blog keeps thumbnails of all of the recently posted videos along the right side.  You can always click on one of those to get to our channel as well.

I hope you enjoy the videos!!!!

It's HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you don't already have it, you NEED it!

Tim says, "The creativity continues with Volume II of Compendium of Curiosities filled with new ideas, new products, and new techniques. Just like the first volume this is not your typical "how to make" book, but "how to create" so you can explore and apply these new techniques however you decide. I hope to lead you on another artful journey filled with unexpected inspiration..."

This is a moost-have!

I am a tiny angel

I'm smaller than your thumb;

I live in people's pockets

That's where I have my fun.

I don't suppose you've seen me,

I'm too tiny to detect;

Though I'm with you all the time,

I doubt we've ever met.

Before I was an Angel

I was a fairy in a flower;

God, Himself, hand-picked me,

And gave me angel power.

Now God has many Angels

That He this eyes, and ears, and hands

We become His special tools.

And because God is so busy,

With way too much to do;

He said my assignment

Is to keep close watch on you.

When He tucked me in your pocket

He blessed you with Angel care;

Then told me to never leave you,

And I vowed always to be there.

This week we bring you a precious layout by Barbara. The little fussy cut angel seems to be peeking out from behind a garden, and watching over the precious little girl. Love the touches of pink in the layout. The glimmer on the butterflies, and the bird cage tucked behind your beautiful flower clusters, The pearl swirls along the side of the photo are fabulous, and Barbara you must share how you did them!! Love the border on the bottom of the photo and if you go to Barbara's Blog, she will give you details on this. The layering is just wonderful!! The arrangement of the photo's is sheer perfection! Great job on this beautiful page!! We love it!!

This week, we bring to you the beautiful work of Effie Stamateli from Greece. Kalós orísate!! (That's Welcome in Greek ya'll!!) Look deep into your Swirlydoos stash of leftovers (you have leftovers??) and you may find all of the ingredients to create this page if you are so inspired, as we were!! Love the way the column was fussy cut and how the paper under the matted photo was shaped and stitched. The flower cluster and flourishing pearls add a beautiful elegance to the page. This is a photo of Effie, and she tells us it was taken many years ago on the Rhine in Düsseldorf, Germany. Gorgeous photo of you!! Effie tells us that in creating this page about herself, she says she doesn't talk a lot, but she is very good at understanding people and therefore is a good listener. Now we know, she is also a great Scrapbook artist as well!! Beautiful work Effie!! We would love to see more!
