More, more and MORE uber deliciousness and fun photos from the CHA show in Anaheim this week! Sorry we couldn't bring them to you sooner but ONE OF US (me), is an idiot and forgot to bring my laptop cable (among other very important things) and couldn't post for you guys after my battery died Lessons learned. FO-SHO!
We really saw SO many great new products and so many stunning projects on display. Inspiration ran amuck in that gigantic building (and so did we!) Anyway. Enough blabber-mouthing - let's look at some really cool stuff!
Here at Swirlydoos we are BIG fans of Tattered Angels. We have loved working with all of their products, from mists, to mats, tools, to Bingo Boards, masks and more. Their booth NEVER disappoints. It is so elegantly designed with the most beautiful projects on display! The new products that got our vote were the Glaze & Glam! Awesome new items that are sure to make those pages POP!
This is a lovely mini album Tattered Angels had displayed in their booth. I was so struck by the unique book that I just had to photograph it for future inspiration! (Yes Lisa, it's THE BOOK!)
Here is another gorgeous mini we found proudly displayed at Prima's booth. I'm such a sucker for gorgeous art! I hope you are too!
This, you will LOVE! Bottles. That's it. Simple bottles. Cover them with Prima's new say it in crystals and some gorgeous Prima flowers - top with an eye-catching piece of metal art and you've got this! The photo really doesn't do this project justice. They're GORGEOUS!
Here are some random photos of Prima's Booth. They (as always) have a TON of delicious goodies for us this release!
I really liked this project. With a little cross-promotion you have a BEAUTIFUL 7-Gypsies artist tray embellished fabulously with new release Prima flowers. Ahhh - Heaven!
An eye-catching and very lovely heritage type layout posted at the Prima booth.
Happy Happy Joy Joy!!!!
Psycho designer on a Vespa. Yes. A VESPA!
Here we have the ever inspiring Vintage Haven that is the Graphic 45 Booth. Gorgeous. Always gorgeous!
This little beauty was created by non other than our own sweetheart, Irene Tan. Look close ladies, there MAY be a test! (or homework!)
Here I am with our lovely lady Tonya! MAN! What a funny story it was running into her! But, I'll let HER tell you in her own words -
"Hey ladies!! Okay, so I'm back from CHA and I have a funny story. Soooo as you guys have heard, Krissy's laptop had problems so she was unable to get my phone # I had emailed her so we could connect and meet. It's Tuesday, the last day. I am there and I'm walking down the hall to go to the PRIMA booth (which was to die for, btw) when I pass two ladies and I hear one of them say "Swirly" something. I immediately spun around and said KRISSY?? Krissy??? Sure enough, it was Krissy and Robin!!!! How is that for awesome? Krissy took me over to the Prima booth and I got to meet her rep who took excellent care of me and totally hooked me up!!!"
How funny! The mention of something "Swirly" can whip a lady around on the spot and she knows EXACTLY what we're talking about! WOOHOOOOOOOOO Tonya, I'm so glad we passed each other at that moment! I was SO bummed about not having access to my phone numbers for the show!! Oh, and at the end of the day I sat on the darn floor in that Prima booth with Lu and we picked out BUNCHES of papers for ya honey! They'll be there with your order!
Alright, this chick is jet lagged, exhausted from over-exposure to pure awesomeness (thank you Jack Black), and in desperate need of a shower! I hope you've enjoyed he CHA sneaks we brought you. Tune into our KITS to get your grubby hands on all this stuff SOON!

OK...Since I couldn't go to CHA, and missed out on all the fun of make n takes..I devised my own version just for our Swirly Sisters left behind...I cant provide you with the materials, but I can provide you with instructions and a beautiful leaf pattern to down load just the right color for the February kit...(click here...A new flower.). The flower was inspired by Ilina Crouse who is a creative stamper, cardmaker and scrapbooker. I couldn't wait to try it and teach how to do it at Swirlydoos. I just added the leaves, which you could just use alone as an embellishment. Have fun!! And go check out the tutorial!!
We have pillaged the booths at CHA.... Seriously. We have gone through them with fine toothed combs (and still have 2 more days to go back for more!) We found a lot of fantastic new products that you all are sure to love! From the "Swirlybitz" to the "Feet Thingies" we've found an incredible collection of what we have so lovingly dubbed, our "MOOST HAVES". Our sweetheart designer Bonnie hails originally from the Netherlands. And although she lives in Texas now she retains quite a bit of her precious accent. When Bonnie saw an item cough*Tim Holtz Tape*cough her eyes grew as wide as baseballs and she said, "Krissy! We MOOST have these!" I laughed, agreed, and thus began the "MOOST HAVE LIST". Here are some of our favorites so far!
Of course, anything by THIS guy qualifies for the "MOOST HAVE" list. He has a lot of new metals, papers, dies and inks (AND TAPE) that slid their way onto that handy list!
A wonderfully fabulous tray by 7 gypsies. This will make for a fantastic project!
Pink Paislee's New Yummy.
I honestly don't remember what this stuff is made out of. It looks like resin, yet is pliable and adhesive too! It can be colored using almost all of the coloring techniques (mist, ink, chalk etc).
We saw a BUNCH of beautiful cameos at the show. There was a definite air about the show and the underlying theme seemed to be "VINTAGE"! YAY!!!!!!!!!! This means we're going to have a beautiful few months huh?
Here is some of the new Vintage-y stuff from Making Memories
Just another little piece by Tim H - See the "feet thingies?"
SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Look what WE found! On the ZVA booth, we saw our very own Angelica Franssen's work on display! I'd recognize those beautiful Delilah cheeks anywhere! Congratulations Ang!!
Keep an eye out ladies. If I can find my dam laptop power cord we'll be bringing you LOTS MORE from our "MOOST HAVE" list!
Well, we're here. Winter CHA 2010 in sunny Anaheim, CA. This thing is a MONSTER! Waaaaaaaaaaaay bigger than the Florida CHA we went to back in July. It is nearly impossible - no, absolutely impossible to see everything the vendors have to display in the 4.5 days we are here! We had the privilege of meeting up with not one - not two, but THREE of the fantastic Swirlydoos designers at this show. And with these ladies running around showing me the "MOOST HAVES" you better bet the next six months worth of kits are going to flat ROCK - YOUR - WORLD! Here are some photos of the gals hangin' out!
Miss Robin playing at the Kaisercraft make and take table! They were awesome! They let us play with their high quality MDF mini albums and TWO of their new paper lines! Yummyliciousness there for sure!
Krissy and Bonnie at Benihana Sunday night after the show.
***Thanks to this nice guy ^^^^^ for picking up the bill!***
(P.S. That Jos - Bonnies Hubby - HI JOS!!!)

Miss Bonnie getting to know the new Vintage Line from Making Memories!
The Swirlydoos Crew! It was a real treat to finally meet our Malaysian DT member miss Irene Tan! What a sweet sweet gal she is (and soooooooooooooo talented!) It was SO nice to finally meet ya girl!
Robin, Krissy, Irene, Bonnie
Well, Okay. So, he's not technically one of the "girls"... but he's CLOSE!

We would like to thank Robin for her fabulous series "The 10 Days Of Winter ". Each and every layout was very inspirational and we hoped you enjoyed each day that bought fresh new ideas and creative inspiration!!! Her work is pure candy for the eyes!! We hated to see it come to an end!!! Swirlydoos will be cooking up more inspiration from the Design Team, in tutorials, technique and One of a kind Series!!! With CHA just days away, and brand new product coming in future kits, Swirydoos is going to Rock the scrap booking world!!! Stick around!!
Day 10! I can’t believe it! Thank you all so much for visiting with me each day. I hope you picked up a new tip or two during your time with me. Please leave me a comment to let me know what you thought of the series and if you would like to see more in the future.
Today I am featuring “Me and My Mittens.”
Distress Ink Flowers
I absolutely love Prima flowers. The flowers I used were originally white. Using my non-stick craft sheet, I dabbed Distress Ink (Dusty Concord) directly to the sheet. I then sprayed a little water. I rolled the edges of my flowers in the mixture and then sprayed lightly with glimmer mist (Moonlight.)
I used several techniques on the different snowflakes.
I used Flower Soft to decorate the wooden snowflake I placed a round photo to the center of the snowflake. I then traced the photo and set it aside. I used Flower Soft glue and applied it to the outside of the snowflake. I then sprinkled Flower Soft on top of the glue and let dry. Once dry, I added my photo to the center.
Chipboard Icicle
I accented the icicle drops with stickles. I placed a line of glue across the top of the chipboard piece and sprinkled with white glitter.
Lettering
The letters are from the Bo Bunny Snowy Serenade sticker sheet. I traced the lettering with a white pen to make the letters pop.
Today I am featuring “Me and My Mittens.”
My mom used to always bundle me up for the weather. I remember times I could hardly move because I had so many layers. What a smart lady! My mom always makes sure there is something warm and fuzzy for me to wear outdoors. Yes, even now in my 40’s!
I used Bo Bunny papers which are just amazing! The die cut is my favorite. Even though I received them in the Swirlydoos January kit, I ran out to my local scrapbook store to stock up on more!

Chipboard Snowflake Corner
I used smooch ink (Blue) to paint the chipboard snowflake corner which came with the Technique add-on kit. I used Dusty Concord Distress ink to color the chipboard snowflake. I then placed a smaller chipboard snowflake on top for added dimension. I painted both snowflakes with Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint. I glued the chipboard snowflakes to the middle of the snowflake corner.

Wow, we are on the 9th day already! Time sure is going fast. Today I will be featuring close up photos of my “Snow Cute” two page layout. I don’t usually do two page layouts. I had so many photos of my sweet puppy (He’s really a 3 year old) and one page just wouldn’t do!
I used the Swirlydoos January main kit for this layout. The kit included Bo Bunny Snowy Serenade patterned papers which were perfect for Chance’s photos.
I used the purple snowflake border from the Bo Bunny Snowy Serenade sticker sheet to run along the lower half of the two pages.
Then I pulled out my circle makers and went to work. I used the Creative Memories Cutting System – Circles and Jumbo Circle Maker to create the circles. I punched small circles to surround the center photo. I placed gems in the center of each circle and mounted them on foam squares. Once adhered to the page, I placed a drop of stickles between each circle.
I cut two smaller circles using purple cardstock. I used snowflakes from the Bo Bunny Snowy Serenade sticker sheet and placed them in the center of the circles. I adhered them to the page using foam squares.
The Bo Bunny Snowy Serenade collection had beautiful rub-ons which I used sparingly. The paper was so beautiful that it didn’t need much embellishment.
Thanks so much for joining me today. If you have any questions please leave me a comment. I would love to hear from you.

Thanks for joining me for Day 8 of the 10 Days of Winter Series. This series features the January Swirlydoos kit.
I love this photo! I know, I know, I say that all the time. lol. This is my cousin and my daughter at my cousin's wedding in 1996. It was a beautiful June wedding with beautiful colors of purple and white.
Pearls and gems were in the Swirlydoos Main Kit. Here you see a close up with a speckled flower. The flower was white and I sprayed it lightly with Haunted Shadow Glimmer Mist.
Just a close up of the lettering and the beautiful white Melissa Frances Cameo. I just love Melissa Frances!

The flower add-on from Swirlydoos was just made for this photo. They accented the photo to perfection.
I inked the edges of the doily and cardstock with Dusty Concord Distress ink. I really wanted to use my Silhouette to cut a fancy circle, but the machine does not accomodate a 12x12 piece of paper. I used my EK Success punch and glued the cut outs around the circle. I then used white Smooch ink to make the small dots. I trimmed the doily with purple Smooch ink.

Today I will be featuring close up photos of my “Serenity” layout. I created many layouts using the Swirlydoos kit, but this one is my favorite.
I use Memory Manager photo editing software from Creative Memories. It is user friendly and is great for storing my hundreds of photos. I used the software to give my daughter’s photo a blue hue. What could be more perfect for a winter layout.
I am not usually a big technique junkie. If I glimmer mist or emboss anything it is a big deal! I decided to buy the Technique Add-on this month because it is time for me to step out of the box! The kit included glimmer mist and glimmer screens that were just beautiful.
I layered lots of pretty white, silver and blue flowers. I also used the beautiful Bo Bunny I Candy brads. I absolutely love them!
List of Products
I used the following kits from Swirlydoos:
Winter Wonderland Main Kit
Glimmer Mist/Embossing Technique Add-On Kit
'Signature' Flower Add-On Kit
Winter Wonderland Embellishment Add On
Thanks for joining me today.
