I sooooo love this GORGEOUS kit.... I simply couldn't stop making cards.
Here's one for you with step by step instructions.
And here's how it came together:
For the base of my card, I folded a piece of red cardstock double, and cut it down to 5.6 x 6.6 I distressed the edges a little and inked it up using Paper Soft.
Then I cut a piece of cream cardstock at 5.5 x 6.3 and randomly inked it up.
A piece of lace, (from my stash) was glued at the top, using Beacon 3 in 1 Craft Glue. Krissy has this in the boutique.
Then I cut another piece of cardstock at 5.1 x 5.2
I didn't do anything to the edges, just glued it on top of the lace.
I cut a paperbag at 4.4 x 5.3 and scratched the bottom edge with my nails. The notecard on the right side came in the Salutaions Main Kit.
I glued both pieces like so. First the piece of paperbag, then the notecard.
this "Documented Daily" strip was found on 1 of the papers. I slightly distressed it.
Then... OMW how I love this bling!!!! I cut a piece of it and glued it down, with the backside up.
I had a hard time, figuring out what to do with these beautiful wood icon scissors, so I tranformed them into a new embellishment.
I glued them together like this....
And put the rose on top of it.
Then I wanted to use this "With Love" tag and slightly distressed the edges and glued it down. I also glued down a piece of the red trim, using Beacon Fabri-Tac.
The transformed embellishment, was glued at the right top, bringing all the layers together.
I placed my flowers.(I rubbed some inka gold on my flowers) And for the finishing touch I added some copper liquid pearls.
I hope you like it, and give it a try.
Here are some more cards, just for some extra inspiration

Hi everyone! Amy here with my last post for Swirlydoos. I want to thank Krissy for giving me the opportunity to have design for Swirlydoos as it was definitely as it was a dream come true! My DT term has come to an end but I'll definitely be around after my little boy arrives! In the meantime, you can keep up with me on my blog as I'll keep you posted about when my little boy arrives!
Today I want to share with you my last few projects that I made with the March Swirlydoos Kit, Salutations.
For this layout, I used the reds/blacks of the kit for this romantic picture of my hubby and I on Valentine's Day this year. I used the tags and wooden frames to draw the eye to the center of the page where I had the picture.
Finally, I made this layered and distressed card with the bits and pieces of leftovers on my desk.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great rest of the week!

Hello everyone!! Happy Wednesday! I have 2 more projects to share using the Swirlydoos March Kit, Salutations.
First up is a layout. I totally love the burlap flower sprays that come in the kit. So, I based the colors on my layout on them. I made some matching butterflies out of burlap...you can find the tutorial on the Swirlydoos Blog.
I love making little pockets that hold trinkets and tags. The kit came with all those fabulous Prima tags and it gave me an idea. I couldn't resist making a pocket out of the paper bag the Flower-Add On comes in. I took the paper bag and made two pockets. The front holds all the small tags and ATC cards. And the back pocket holds a large tag I made using Prima packaging.
Here's all the goodies that are tucked inside.

Hi guys.
I am so head over heals in love with this kit, I couldn't put it down and created down to the last scrap within just a few days.
As well as being able to create some feminine romantic pages, I found this kit to be so versatile I also created a masculine page of my son.
Next up I created a 6"x6" mixed media canvas.
There are so many beautiful elements in this kit I thought it would be the perfect way to display them.
And last but not least a card.
The scraps left over from these stunning papers were too beautiful to waste and made a perfect card for someone special.
Thanks for stopping by and
I hope you have as much fun creating with this kit as I have!

Hello all! Angelica here with a quick and easy tutorial on making your own burlap butterflies. The March Kit, Salutations, has some pretty unique burlap flower sprays. So, I thought to match I would try my hand at making my own butterflies.
To make the burlap stiff cover in Modge Podge. Let it completely dry. I think you can use a fabric stiffener spray, but I just used what I had on hand.
I used a die cut for my butterflies. You can also hand cut with a template.
Step 3:
For a little more pizzazz, I took some cheese cloth and sprayed with Glimmermist. Let dry. Set aside
Step 4:
For the antennas take floral stamens and bend in half. Ink them up for a darker shade.
Step 5:
Glue to the larger butterfly
Layer the smaller butterfly on top
Step 7 :
Add the cheese cloth
Step 8:
Add your center piece. Here I used the bling that came in the main kit
Step 9:
Using glossy accents as an adhesive sprinkle on some glitter. The will also aid in keeping the edges from fraying.
You can get burlap by the yard at any craft store. Here I cut out a 8 x 8 square.

Here is layout I made using the butterflies. I added gesso to go with the paint on the layout.
Give it a try!! We'd love to see your version on the Burlap Butterfly!!
