Hey Savages, Kim here.
I have loved working with the Scarlet Elegance kit! The colors are amazing! I've made a couple more projects with it, and I'm sharing them today.

I started with a masculine layout. The colors in this kit may lead you to more feminine layouts, so I wanted to go in a different direction. I used the darker colors to make it more masculine.

I added a few pieces from my stash to add a bit more texture to it. The burlap flowers, metal, chipboard chicken wire and the burlap ribbon. I also used some silver texture paste to do some masking.

Next up is a little bit of everything layout. I used the mica from the mixed media add-on, the oil pastels from the project add-on.I used them for the background and to alter the flowers. I even used the die of the month.

I did some random stamping on the background and then just layered everything on. I had lots of fun creating this layout.

I hope you have had as much fun creating with this kit and the add-ons as I did. It was such a versatile kit to use.

Thanks for stopping by

I have loved working with the Scarlet Elegance kit! The colors are amazing! I've made a couple more projects with it, and I'm sharing them today.

"Eleven" Layout

I love the slight blue accents of the kit, and I wanted to use that with the gorgeous pinks and black highlights.

I started with my large layers with border punching the black paper, then adding some wet distressing on the edges of the Prima paper, and then using grey distress ink along the edges. I also used a large script stamp to poke out from the design layers.

I used a couple of doilies from my stash, and centered them with some of the pink brick wall paper, and again added some grey distress ink to tone the pink and the white. The pink wood paper strips have the same treatment.

From there, I started tucking in the Kaisercraft collectibles from the embellishment add on, picking the ones with the pretty blue floral accents. I colored the wood fern from the embellishment add on with different chalk inks to match the leaves on the paper.

I used a chipboard corner flourish from my stash that I inked black, added some pink flowers, and finally cut up the pink bling strip for some small accents.

"Love" Mini Album (Cover)

So, I'm not finished with the inside yet, but the cover is done!

I started by placing that "Love" sticker on the cover. Then, I added some ivy stenciling with the white crackle paste from the mediums add on. Once dry, I painted it with some green mist. I did this on my other projects too- it's just the perfect accent! And, those antique red Petaloo dogwood flowers from the flower add on are so beautiful, I had to add them too. :) I used some green pearls from a past kit also.

This part of the design is stuff from my stash, but it went so well with the design I had in mind, that I just had to use it! I inked the doily with grey chalk ink. The dressform is a wooden flourish from Kaisercraft that I inked with black archival ink in a distressed fashion. Then I finished it off using some scraps- a small piece of lace, and a pearl strip remnant.

I added the black lace form the main kit, and layered it with some cord fro the project add on, and completed the look by stamping the edges with a chicken wire stamp.

I'm looking forward to finishing this album up soon.

Thanks for taking a look at my projects today!

Hi there. today I have more projects to share made with the gorgeous Swirlydoos November 2014 Kit - Scarlet elegance.

First up is a layout.

To start this layout I used the Prima Stone Walkway stencil from the Swirlydoos October 2015 Mediums add on kit with the Finnabair white crackle paste from the November 2015 (Scarlet Elegance) mediums add on kit.
Once this was dry I added colour with the Prima Oil Pastels which came in the November 2015 project add on kit. I love these!!!! The colours I used were Lavender, Magenta, Orange and Salmon Pink.
To make the photo mat I used the Prima Watercolour Paper from the project add on kit along with the same oil pastels then inked the edges with Distress Ink. I also used the oil pastels to colour the white flowers that came in the project add on kit

To embellish I used the Melissa Frances resin frame from the October Project add on kit, and the Kaisercraft collectables from the November Embellishment add on. Along with extra flowers, lace, pearls, glass beads and glitter from my stash.

Next up I made three cards using the Prima Paintables and Oil Pastels from the Scarlet Elegance Project add on kit

I attended a crop night and didn't feel like creating much so I sat and coloured in these paintables for a couple of hours instead. It's very relaxing. I scribbled the oil pastels onto my craft mat and used a watercolour paint brush to add the colour onto the picture.
Once I was finished colouring them I used paper from the November 2015 (Scarlet Elegance) main kit to back the card, and added flowers, lace and pearls from my own stash.

I want to share the rest of the projects I created with Swirlydoos November kit of the month. The first layout is a simple one using some of the die-cuts from the embellishment add on. The picture is an oldie of my kids-they are both in college now! I even used the strip cut from the bottom of two of the 12x12 papers along the distressed edges because I liked the sayings on them.

This was a fun one! I used the stencil that was included in the mediums add on. I love that stencil! Lots of flowers here and some fussy cut butterflies. I did some random stamping on the background paper along with some splats of Smooch. That butterfly paper was great for adding lots of butterflies to projects this month. And, what about that washi tape?! It is so cute for adding little touches of color.

I used the "Love" rub on as the starting point for this 8x8 canvas. A tutorial is coming soon.

Here's a layout created with the scraps of the November kit. I forgot to take pictures of the process as I've done in the past. More of a clean and simple layout here with torn strips of left over paper, some die-cuts, alphas, and that awesome stencil, again! This is a picture of my dd on Easter wearing a dress and bonnet that I made for her.

I hope you are enjoying your kit as much as I did!
