As promised, here's a canvas tutorial using the November kit, "Scarlet Elegance." I used the main kit as well as the embellishment and flower add-ons to create this 8x8 canvas.

December Round Robin is just gearing up. This is one challenge to participate in. Look for new sign ups towards the end of each month. This is Kim's description of the RR this month, "Are you ready to take a gamble?! This month is all about dealers (scrappers) choice. The holiday season is in full swing and everyone is so busy trying to find that perfect gift, make the perfect meal and deal with house “guest”.

This month, it’s all about taking a moment for yourself and doing what makes you happy (scrapping). Come on ladies, steal away a few minutes a create until your heart is content (or the homicidal tendencies subside)."

Hey Savages, Kim here. Today I'm sharing a video on how I created the cover of this Art  Journal. It started out as a plain kraft colored journal. With the help of a few flowers, a sheet of canvas paper, a piece of chipboard and lots of mixed media, it morphed into this.

I have loved working with the Scarlet Elegance kit! The colors are amazing! I've made a couple more projects with it, and I'm sharing them today.

I started with a masculine layout. The colors in this kit may lead you to more feminine layouts, so I wanted to go in a different direction. I used the darker colors to make it more masculine.

I added a few pieces from my stash to add a bit more texture to it. The burlap flowers, metal, chipboard chicken wire and the burlap ribbon. I also used some silver texture paste to do some masking.  

Next up is a little bit of everything layout. I used the mica from the mixed media add-on, the oil pastels from the project add-on.I used them for the background and to alter the flowers. I even used the die of the month.

I did some random stamping on the background and then just layered everything on. I had lots of fun creating this layout.

I hope you have had as much fun creating with this kit and the add-ons as I did. It was such a versatile kit to use.

Hello dear creative woman!!

For my first one tutoriel I decided to make the magnificent cover the mini album in the main kit of November (Scarlet Elegance). I Adore it. I had fun with oils pastel also are this one easy has to work with a lot of water.
