Happy Friday and Happy Fools Day for all of you pranksters out there!

This week everyone has been busy getting in their submissions for our monthly challenges.  All of them are closed and the voting has begun!  Good luck to all who participated.  Here is this week's summary:
  • iPads for Autism - We are soooooooooo close to getting a third iPad.  Just a few more dollars and we've done it!  Can you help us?  Thanks to all who have already brought so much joy to 2 children!
  • Our first EVER DT Challenge went up yesterday.  DT members were given pictures of another DT's family member to scrap. We had to alter the photo and use it at least twice.  The savages have to vote on their favorite page.  The twist is that they don't know who did what!!  Fun!  Click HERE to go to the challange.
  • Our next round of SGC Challenges kick off today.  Camilla and Joelle are hosting the challenges.  I can't wait to see what they have up their sleeves.
  • Our subscribers know that Krissy opens up special orders on product like Dusty Attic.  If you have never experienced Swirly Savagery then you must check out that post.  BUT, I'll give you this warning....come with body armor! LOL  It's all good fun.
  • Our Subsribers also started receiving their kit packages in the mail.  I think that is probably the only day of the week that the post man or the UPS driver get hugs and kisses.  Everyone is oooooh-ing and aahhhhhh-ing over the lovely things in their boxes this week.  Ok, I'll admit it; I've been petting my lovelies too!
  • All of this brings us to "A savage was heard saying".  This is something new I will be adding to our Friday News.  This will be a comment that was made by one of our savages.  It could be something funny, or it could be very heartwarming.  This week's comment comes from the Dusty Attic Special Order thread in our Subscriber's section.  Erica was thinking that she would need to start hiding all of the DA pieces she was buying so that her DH wouldn't begin to question how much she was spending.  She thought that putting them in her underwear drawer would be the way to go.  Our dear Peggy replied with "Silly Erica!!!! You put CAKE in your underwear; the DA goes into the vault!!!!   All Swirly girls know what she means by CAKE!!  LOL
Have a great weekend!!!!
Creatively yours,
Lisa XO

Happy F-R-I-D-A-Y!!!!!!!!

OMGoodness, is it just me or has this week been a drag?  I am so happy to be within spittin' distance of Saturday so that I can roll around in all of the glorious yummy-ness that is the Swirlydoos April kit.   Reveal day for the April kit is closer than you think and you are in for a serious treat.

Quick update....we have raised enough money to buy 2...that's right 2 iPads for Autism!!!!  YAY!  We are close to buying our 3rd and just need a little more and we'll be there.  If you can find a way, we would really appreciate your support and donation.

OK, so what has been going on with our savages this week?
  • Well, our very own Irene Tan posted her first video tutorial!  Can you believe it?  I couldn't.  I mean, this is Irene we are talking about here.  As you can imagine the video is smokin' hot and I loooooooove her flowers.  Hop on over to our tutorials section and check out her video.  You can click HERE to go see it.
  • Our SGC (Swirly Girl Challenges) for this month are winding down and you really have to see the entries.  I may be bias, but I doubt it, because we really have the most creative bunch of artists there are.  Really, it's true.  I wouldn't lie to you; cross my heart.
  • Our on-going monthly challenges are winding down as well.  Our monthly Kit Sketch Challenge and Angelica's Butterfly challenge have produced some of the most outstanding entries I've seen around.  It seems like month after month our savages bring it!  They step up to the plate and then kick it up a notch and top themselves every month.  Good stuff!!!
  • Our monthly Round Robin challenge IS the best Round Robin to be found anywhere.  Every one pushes their own level of creativity and raises the bar for the next person on their team.  If you are looking to grow in your craft this is without a doubt the place to be.  Sign-ups are going on right now for April so head on over and sign up.
  • We now have a new and separate section dedicated to the Anatomy of a Page.  Each month a member of the Design Team with take you through their creative process.
  • Our lay out of the week is by our own Mandy H.  All I can say is wow.  Mandy is one incredibly talented artist.  You HAVE to check out her page.  Congratulations Mandy!!!
  • Our scrapbook question of the week was posted by one of our savages.  Here is her question:  Do you start with the picture or the paper?  Head on over and let us know what you do.
I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!!!

Creatively yours,
Lisa XO

We were so crammed busy with classes and the show that we probably got about 10 hours of sleep in the 5 nights we stayed in Los Angeles!  *Grinz*  But it was a freakin' BLAST!!!

Let's go over some of the highlights of the show! We've got TONS of photos of new product and inspirational projects! We would like to know what YOUR favorite CHA W2011 release was?

Amazing aren't they?!

A final parting shot that was taken of our bathroom.

I can't seem to find the photo of our ROOM which is by and far the scariest hotel room I've ever seen! If anyone grabbed a photo please send it to me and I'll get it posted. There wasn't a  single clear spot to sit in that room - what with all the product being thrown about - and then Rae - (With a "Y") rolling around in it!
