A local craft chain had paper mache
pumpkins on sale, and I couldn't resist picking up a few(!) at half price.
I've used some gesso, some of the Prima
Metallique acrylic paint from the July Embellishment Kit and some of the new
Oxide Inks from Ranger (check out the Swirly Mediums Kit for September) to come up with a gorgeous bit of home decor for Fall.
Some closeups...
The tutorial is on Snapguide; here's
the link. https://snapguide.com/guides/create-fall-decor-with-the-swirlydoos-mediums-kit/

Here's a quick OTP for your walls using the tech kit add for August.
The crackle medium is the perfect touch for the wooden pieces used to make the wall piece.
Here's the link for the video.

. One of the main advantages of getting the Swirly Pattern Paper Add-On every month is that after my layouts are finished, there will be plenty left for other projects: tags, cards, decor and mini albums. Because I knew that the Wanderlust papers in the August
"Sunshine" kit would be perfect for several small albums, I deliberately left a few sheet aside for that
purpose.
The first is a
Flip and Fold album. I've been intrigued by these for a few months, checking
out Pinterest for new ideas. This one uses one 12 x 12 sheet of pattern paper, just
under a half of another sheet and a couple of scraps along with a bit of
cardstock, some lace and a few brads to hold 9 photos and a tag for journaling;
how cool is that!
Before taping my
pockets down on the inside, I fastened a couple of brads from my stash and
added a bit of twine to tie my album shut.
Lots of pockets,
right? And the center folds out to allow for two more photos!

The Wanderlust
Collection actually contains 2 sheets of 6" designs: smaller copies of the
12 x 12 pages, made to be cut apart and
used as layers or for standalone project - perfect for a mini album designed to
hold vacation memories.
I'm usually guilty
of ending up with projects that are literally bursting at the seams; this time,
I decided to try to resist those impulses and simply embellish with images cut
from my papers and bit of Washi tape. I treated the package of Wanderlust
chippies that came with the kit by using the paints and crackle medium from the
Project Add-On and used the "travel" word for my title. One of the
amazing Prima vines from the Embellishment Add-On was all I needed to compete
my front cover.
A few of the
images from the Souvenir sheet make a pretty design for the inside front cover
and a pocket and some photo mats or journaling sheets for the next page.
More pockets and
journaling cards from the Calling Card and Souvenir sheets.
Lots of Washi
tape and a few of the altered chippies.
Another pocket
and another place for some handwritten journaling,
And the back. I
always leave that plain, to allow for wear and tear.
