Hi, It's Bec and today is my day to reveal all my projects made with the April Swirlydoos Kit - Purple Haze.
First up is a dream catcher I made with the embroidery hoop which came in the April main kit.
I made a video tutorial on how I made this
Dream Catcher
First up is a dream catcher I made with the embroidery hoop which came in the April main kit.
I made a video tutorial on how I made this
Here is my video:
To Make this Dream Catcher I used:
Embroidery Hoop, Prima Shabby Chic Treasures Garden Fountain and Kaisercraft wood shapes Butterfly from the April 2016 main kit
Rhinestone trim and Aqua beads from the December 2015 kit
Prima flowers, Feathers, Embroidery cotton, Lace/Ribbon , Blue Fern Studios chipboard flourish, Blue Fern Studios Embossing Powder in Cotton Candy & Seam Mist and Beads from my stash
Sunshine
Next I have the Layout made using the sketch as inspiration
Here is the sketch which goes with this kit
For my background I used some yellow embossing powder with a stamp and then modelling paste through a stencil.
I cut the Blue Fern Studios Lane Street Sign chipboard into three pieces, then I coloured all my chipboard with Blue Fern Studios Embossing powder in Buttercup, Petal, Cotton Candy and Sage
Next I added my flowers, lace, resin piece and liquid pearls
Materials used to make this layout:
From the April 2016 Main Kit

Joy
I loved the Tim Holtz Idea-ology Baroque Frames so much that I wanted to make them the feature of my layout.
I used the Prima bubble stencil with grey ink on my background. Then I used the Prima Platinum crackle paste through a stencil followed by some mists for extra colour.
I added white crackle paste to the Kaisercraft butterflies then coloured them with a brown mist.
I coloured all my chipboard with embossing powder
Materials used on this layout:
From the April 2016 Kit
Blue Fern Studios Serendipity Paper: Inspiration, Kaisercraft wood shapes Butterfly & Tim Holtz Idea-ology Baroque Frames
From my stash:
Blue Fern Studios Joy (Chunky Words), Blooming Foliage, Beaded String frame & Mesh Bits, Blue Fern Studios Embossing Powder Seven Seas, Ginger & icicle , Stampendous Aged Silver Embossing Enamel, flowers and liquid pearls
Purple Box
I made this from an old watch box for Peggy's Spring cleaning challenge on the forum this month.
I cut the Blue Fern Studios Courtship Lane Paper West Plaza to fit on all the sides.
I inked the edges and the middle section for the box with Distress Ink in Dusty Concord
I place the adhesive pearls trim which cam in the kit around the sides of my box, I had one piece left so I cut it in half at placed it on the top of the box
I decorated the top of the box the the Blue fern flowers, purple leaf trim and Kaisercraft wood butterflies which all came in the April Kit
Materials used on this box:
Blue Fern Studios Courtship Lane Paper West Plaza, Blue Fern Studios Courtship Roses, DavidTutera Adhesive Pearl scroll trim, Purple Leaf Ribbon and Kaisercraft wood shapes Butterfly from the April 2016 main kit
White roses, purple stamens and Distress Ink in Dusty Concord from my stash
