What would Swirlydoos be without our wonderful subscribers?!? It's a pleasure getting to know these ladies on the forums and from the stories they tell through their layouts. Yes,we are an amazing community, but most of all, we're a family! We appreciate each and every member and they deserved to be spotlighted. With that being said, our featured member for August is.....
Here is a bit about Linda:

Here is a bit about Linda:
“I’m honored to be able to share a little bit about myself and my history with Swirlydoos! I have been scrapbooking since the time my kids were little (I’ve been married for 37 years now, so that tells you how long it’s been.) It kind of went by the wayside as my friends and I got into quilting and our time was taken up getting together for weekly quilting sessions and travelling to retreats for lots of giggles and laughs (and a wee bit of quilting.)
Then I had to move from my community and friends of 30 years to a new community and I was lonely with a capital “L”. So I went back to scrapbooking, but scrapbooking as I knew it was cutting some mats and adding some stickers. One special day however, I was browsing through an online store and happened to see a page done by Angelica (using some of the products I was going to purchase). WOW! I went to her page to see more of her wonderful work and learned about this magical place called Swirlydoos and the rest is history! A new world of flowers and lace and stuff called “chipboard” opened up to me and I have been smitten ever since.
I have been a club member of Swirlydoos for 3 years now and thanks to the generosity of the design team and others on the forums, I have learned so much and continue to learn. As local people have seen the work I’ve done with challenges, they have started showing interest. I have ended up designing projects for a local scrapbooking company, and now this fall I will be doing some classes that have been requested. Sometimes I think I need to pinch myself when I think about how far I’ve come! The best part is there is always something more to learn, a new video to watch, a new product to discover. (Boy are there new products … we now need to put an extension on the house LOL.)
I can’t leave without saying what a wonderful group of people there are on the forums. We chat about anything and everything. My family has long wondered if I was a little bit “touched in the head”, as they’ve heard me giggling and laughing at my computer over some little bit of silliness that has been going on. Your friends on the forums are always there to lift you up when you’re feeling down, and support you when life is throwing a curve at you. Most of all, they understand your love for paper and ink and flowers, and they share your joy of it all with you!
Swirlydoos is a wonderful community, that I am grateful to be part of. Thank you for featuring me this month. It really was a pleasure to go back in time and reflect!”
Linda

Congratulations on being Featured Member of the Month, Linda!
Personally, I think it is SWIRLYDOOS who is blessed that you found US! You are a constant source of inspiration, and friend, and a true savage through and through. I have immensely enjoyed watching you grow in your art! I am thrilled to see you on our blog my dear, very well deserved indeed!
Congrats!!
Congrats Linda. Wonderfil projects.
Linda : Your stuff is so beautiful. I too "played with paper " the way you did until a friend of mine told me I really should join Pintrest, which lead me to Ms Liberty and then to Swirlydoos. I subscribed to several cardmaking magazines, but they do not compare to Swirlydoos. I hope my work improves to be as beautiful as your work is.
Congrats on all the aknowledgments!!!
