Hi everybody! I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas. I had an amazing time with my family - I ate too much food and candy, watched lots of old movies on TV, played tons of games with my children and I have had some scrappy time too!
Today I have one layout and a card to share with you, made with the fabulous Swirlydoos December kit "Enchanted Evening". I adore the blue and purple shades in this kit!
The title of this layout is "1953" and that was the year this photo of my father and his little brother was taken. They look so handsome in their little suits! My father passed away a couple of years ago, and scrapbooking his old photos is my way to remember him.
I have used three of the papers from BoBunny, from the kit. I used a diecut paper as a template. I distressed the edges a bit to get a shabby look.
The background was created with a stencil and clear gesso, I then misted with purple mist and let the ink run a bit.
The wooden clock from BoBunny is from the embellishment add-on and just perfect for my vintage page! I painted the clockface and swirls with white gesso, just a bit.
I have also added a couple of wood embellies from a previous kit.
The pink flowers with yellow centers was a part of my Christmas gift in the secret sister swap on the Swirlydoos forum - thank you, Maggi!
I also have a card to share today, a pretty simple one with just a piece of paper from the main kit, a diecut from the embellishment add-on and Petaloo flowers and berries from the main kit.
Thank you for stopping by today! Wishing you all a Happy New Year!
xoxo
Helena
