Hey Savages, September is winding down but or challenges are still in full swing over on the forums. Don't forget to take some time before the end of the month and join in.
The butterfly/dragonfly challenge has just begun and runs until Oct. 15, so grab your *Vintage Blues* kit and get those layouts/projects submitted.
Next there is the SGC, which is a monthly challenge hosted by one of our members. This months hostess is Barbara (pala). Her challenge is all about chandeliers. Your layout/project can be anything you want it to be, but it must include a chandelier. You don't need to use a Swirlydoos kit, but you do get an extra vote if you do. You still have until of the end of the month to get an entry in. Check out some of these great entries.
Ginny
Rae
The Card RR has had some amazing entries. The twist this month is rust. There must be something rusty on your card. We are heading into the final week of this challenge, so be on the look out for October sign-ups. Remember you don't need to be a kit member to join in. Check theses cards out.
Peggy
Look at the great rust she created on the chipboard piece.
Patti
That heart is amazing, don't you think?
Next up is the sketch challenge. This is our monthly sketch that comes with the kit. However, you don't have to use the kit to join in on the fun. Take a look at this month's sketch, it's a beauty.
Check out these entries. I just love them all and will have a hard time voting.
Jan
Isn't this layout breathtaking. I just love Jan's take on the sketch.
Heather
Heather has created a gorgeous layout. Look at what she did to the chipboard.
Finally, our DT member Maggi is hosting a "Cock Challenge" for those that are rooster/hen obsessed. you just need to create a layout/project that has an image of a cock on it and use the following quote "The rooster may crow, but the hen delivers the goods!" Look at these great layouts/projects.
Kathi
Is this tag amazing or what? Love the treatment to the chipboard and Kathi's wonderful punching.
Paula
Who wouldn't love to be on the receiving end of this gift bag? I just love the handmade flowers.
Alright savages, you have just been updated on the challenges going on. Come on by the forums and play along. We would love to have you.
