Helloooooooooooooooooo ladies!
We are coming to you LIVE from.... err... well - to be honest? My hotel room floor. Yes, I admit that it is 2:58 (A.M.), I am just crawling in from a very late meeting with Creative Imaginations and my CHA roomies are fast asleep getting the MUCH needed beauty rest that "I" need! LOL!!
Today is day TWO of our stay in downtown Los Angeles. The show hasn't officially opened yet but we've had a fantastic day learning new techniques, testing new products and sharing in scrappy buddy company!
The show officially opens tomorrow morning but we spent our entire (E-N-T-I-R-E) day in classes learning lots of fantastic tips and tricks to share with YOU! While my partners in crime are fast asleep at this un-Godly hour, I shall post some photos of our day 1.
Here is Bonnie, Shelly and Rae at the CRACK-OF-FREAKIN'-DAWN at the Tattered Angels 101 class. I have to say that Tattered Angels really did an exceptional job putting this program together! Not only was the class well prepared, well instructed and extremely informative, but it was a LOT of fun!
Wendy Senger, creator of the now famed (and crazily imitated) Glimmer Mist, put on a fan-tastic class! Wendy is a very sweet, funny, knowledgeable woman who definitely knows her way around misting, glamming and glazing. Here we sat... 5 well seasoned (or so we thought) scrapbookers, and we had MUCH to learn from the fabulous Miss Senger! We are happy to report that we all walked away with a much better understanding of Glimmer mist and the numerous ways in which to use it! Be watching our techniques and tutorials section for more on getting the most from your Glimmer Mists, Glams and Glazes~
"What is that amazing piece of art they are so proud of?" You ask?
This is the doll baby that our girls are so proud of! Lookie what we've learned to do! And you're going to be learning it next! What good is knowledge if we don't share?
Savages are happy to share and share alike! (except on "add-on" day!)
Awwww! Look ladies - this is a NEW Savage Sister! Here is Miss Deb L. and Krissy at the Tattered Angels class! Deb has been a member of Swirlydoos for quite a few months and we were SO happy to finally be able to meet this sweet, sweet woman in person! What a wonderful and talented woman Deb is - we're so happy to have her with us!
The Tattered Angels class finally came to an end =o(
Your Swirlydoos representatives worked their magic and had some seriously inked up fingers by the time it was all over! We say, "BRING ON THE INKY MESS!"
Here is Bonnie and Shelly after finishing up the ArtC mixed media ATC class. It was a nice class - a bit rushed for SOME of us, but we really enjoyed getting familiar with the Copic (mooooost have) markers! heheheh!
We also had the privilege of attending the Graphic 45 Steampunk, Mixed Media class taught by Candy Rosenberg. Candy is an excellent instructor and her class was a fun one to take! This class will stretch the imagination and skills of most crafters and help you to be comfortable working with new, A-Typical media while expanding your comfort zones and bringing your crafting to the next level.
Photos will be coming of the Steampunk Mixed Media project - when they are ... uhm... finished! LOL
Big huge thanks to Glue Arts, G45, Zip Dry and many many others for making this class as fantastic as it was!
We'll be posting more tomorrow from the show floor! Stay tuned!
