There is a new tutorial over at Swirlydoos!! Krissy has put together a great step by step tutorial for a canvas wall hanging!! She used the Canvas Project Add On Kit from the November. It is simply fabulous!! So head on over and go check it out!! This one is fun!! The photo in Krissy's canvas project is of her darling son being lead by his daddy, or it could be the other way around. Either way it is just so precious. Krissy used this photo before, in a layout she did from the Premiere Swirlydoos kit, "Decadence". The journaling was beautiful, and I thought I would share it with you.

It's that time of year again - CHA Summer is in balmy, sticky, wet, aligator infested FLORIDA this year! YAY!!!!!!!!! Seriously, I've never been to FL and am really looking forward to getting away for a few days, staying in a nice (quiet) hotel and meeting up with other Swirly Girlies at the show!

We have had a TON of requests to bring back the Whimsy Kit and add ons. I can only do so if we have a minimum of 25 people who want the main kit, or a minimum of 6 people who want the stitched paper add on kit. The kits will need to be pre-paid and would be expected to ship within the next month. If you would be interested in the main kit, the paper add on kit, or both (please specify if you would only be interested in the add on if it came with the main kit) email us at info@swirlydoos.com or leave a comment below to let us know if you're interested. In the event that more than 25, but less than 50 people want the main kit, they will go to the first 25 folks who respond.

Rachel said...My son is six; he is non-verbal and has Autism. We are affected everyday. We have good days, and a lot of bad days. I try to stay as positive as I can. My son gives me a unique perspective on life, and I am glad to have him in my life.

In honor of World Autism Day, and to raise awareness of this very serious disorder, we are GIVING AWAY 3 beautiful Mason's Puzzle Acrylic Albums to 3 lucky winners!!! Rarely have I been moved to tears by a mere act of kindness. When I announced this contest I was sure we would receive some very nice cards from some of our very talented members. Never, EVER in my wildest dreams could I have imagined the sheer outpouring of love and time and commitment that rolled in through my mailbox these past couple of weeks.
We have received cards from all over the world! We have recieved cards more beautiful than anything Halmark could ever dream up. We received cards created by children, for children. We recieved NUMEROUS cards that have been published in scrapbooking magazines. We received - - - Hope, in the form of 140 custom created, hand-crafted beautiful cards. With tears in my eyes, and on behalf of every mom of a child with Autism, THANK-YOU. To all who participated, thank you.
