Hello Swirly friends! It is Sunday and time for some card inspiration. This is a card I made just for you. I used a mix of Swirlydoos kits for it and I just love to layer things. You might have noticed. LOL

The patterned paper, the ribbon, and the flower are from the June kit. I also used the gorgeous Tattered Angels clear stamps from the June kit. The large tag is from May and the alpha is from a much older kit.

I hope you'll have a great Sunday!

A photo tutorial by: Angelica Franssen

Using the June Collection "The Looking Glass"

Step by step instruction on constructing a beautiful scrapbook page.

Take the white cardstock distress then trim out a 1 inch from each side

Take the blue pattern paper, distress and trim out 1.5 each from each side. Layer on top of the white

The the center of the white cardstock distress and mist.

Once dried place on top of the blue pattern paper

Mat your photo with a contrasting cardstock. Trim and distress two other larger mats for layering.

Once you have your mats layered to your liking, glue the ribbon underneath to the one side. Glue to page

Treat a DA Chippy. For the fence I use a paint dauber then misted and inked. Glue to page

Add your flowers. Here I bent the Petaloo vine then added a Prima flower on top

I made some little rosettes from the navy Blue cardstock. Add to page

Add your butterflies

Add your title....and your done!!

Hope you enjoyed this months Anatomy of a Layout. Be sure to visit again when our next design team member post their step by step instruction.

In This Home

We BELIEVE in living deeply,
Laughing often and loving always.
We BELIEVE we were brought together
To support and care for each other.
We BELIEVE in celebrating together--
Our faith, our heritage, our traditions.
We BELIEVE that everyone's feelings count,
And that the uniqueness of each of us
Strengthens all of us.
We BELIEVE
In the power of forgiveness to heal
And the power of love
To carry us through.
We BELIEVE in one another,
In this family,
IN THIS HOME.

We had the pleasure of watching Sherri create this beautiful page. Let us tell you, she is rockin scrappin machine!! That girl can crank out the layouts!! The beauty of this LO is in the story. Sherri has a cousin who has always wanted a big family. The little one took some time to come to this world, but finally made it, making the family dreams come true. They do look happy in the photo don't they. Family is EVERYTHING...A complete family is a blessing. The chip board clock is altered to look like a gorgeous weathered patina piece. You should see it in real life. Sherri layered the punched blue and white papers for the middle and matted the photo slightly with a distressed paper from the kit. The colors blend so beautifully, the blues with the touch of browns and a punch of red round this LO up to perfection!! We absolutely love it Sherri!! Thank you for sharing your cousins joy!!

Yesterday I showed you some gorgeous ATCs made for the challenge at the forum. If you'd like to try making ATCs, why not hop by Swirlydoos store to collect some 7gypsies ATCs:

And perhaps the 7gypsies ATC Bin for storage:

It is early June and we are having fantastic weather here in Sweden. Is it the same for you? And it is soon time for me to have some vacation. I am really dying to get more time to relax and to scrap during the summer evenings. Right now I feel like scrapping a page about SUMMERTIME and then I would use these products from the Swirlydoos store:

And those colourful flowers from Prima to symbolize summer.

Gorgeous products, huh?!???

I have had a fabulous weekend together with friends celebrating my dh's 40th birthday. And I have learnt that we should be grateful to have so many wonderful and caring people in our lives. I think I'll make a lot of Thank You cards and send to each and everyone of them. Perhaps my goal for the summer?

I found this beautiful card in our gallery. It is made by Shona/skeehnsic with last month's kit.

Don't forget to post your fantastic cards in the Swirlydoos gallery!

Hi Everyone!  It's Friday again...phew~

Things seem to be a bit quiet this week.  Some of our subscribers have been sequestered to a cabin in Colorado for Camp Swirly.  I'm sure they are having a wonderful time and creating memories that will last a lifetime.  Cheers girls!!!

For those of us who were not able to attend, we have been holding down the fort.  We've had some new monthly challenges start up this week; our Round Robin as well as our SCG Challenge that is hosted by Erin and has to do with Superheros!  It is a very cool challenge idea.  You should check it out.  Also, remember that our Sketch Challenge has been extended to the 15th of the month so our international members can play along too.

Check out our LOTW click HERE  It is a very touching video put together by one of our subscribers that honors her son.  Bring your tissues.

The June kit will be revealed on the 5th.  Be sure to stop by and check it out as well as the DT's projects for the month.  Stunning work!!

Have a great weekend~
