What would Swirlydoos be without our wonderful subscribers?!? It's a pleasure getting to know these ladies on the forums and from the stories they tell through their layouts. Yes,we are an amazing community, but most of all, we're a family! We appreciate each and every member and they deserved to be spotlighted. With that being said, our featured member for January is.....
Christy Butters *aka cbshai*
Here is a bit from Christy
My name is Christy Butters.
I can be found on the web at www.creatingwiththegirls.blogspot.com
I have been scrapping in some shape or form for most of my life (well over 40 years!). I come from a long line of scrapbookers even being lucky enough to have in my possession on my Grandmother created over 80 years ago.
In July of 2010 I joined Swirlydoos and never looked back. The kits were and are made perfectly for my style, a variety of complimentary pieces all pulled together and ready to be used.
I love mixed media layouts, getting messy makes my day and backgrounds are a specialty of mine.
Some days I will create nothing but them. I love combining paints, inks, mists and more with patterned papers to create unique bases for my projects.
When I am not scrapping I can be found working on a variety of other mixed media pieces. Canvases and art journal pages are two of my favorites but I dabble in tags & Atcs as well as altered pieces.
A day creating is a day well spent!
Here are a some of my favorite projects of Christy's, sure to inspire you!!
Please come back and visit every first Sunday of the month to see who our next featured member will be! We love our Swirlygirls!!
